Chef Baba, I love watching this video, its just my second one to watch - you remind me of my Mom Mira who also did all this elaborate Yugoslavian cooking. The first video I watched was to search for recipe to make koljivo for funeral - thank you for helping me make this special dish. My deepest condolences on John’s passing - I’m shocked and saddened 🕯💛 I love to cook, helped her my Mom in my teens and early twenties while making these traditional foods to learn them all. I then made these traditional foods by myself and took take them to my work for everyone try it. I passed on these recipes from my Mom Mira to Canadians. Mira was born in 1933 and lived in Macedonia until 1968, then came to Winnipeg Canada. I love hearing your family stories between you Baba and your son Damir, grand & great grand children John, Ivo, Ljijana. I look forward to watching all the rest of your videos ❤

I love listening to Chef Baba talk she sounds just like my mother, I lost her in 2015 we were very close. When I miss my mom I watch Chef Baba. My mother was from Croatia.

Been following you since the beginning and bought multiple copies of your book to share with my children. I was born in Vukovar and live in the United States since age 7. I love seeing your videos. It reminds me of my grandmother, mother and father who all have passed on and brings back good memories of meals, love and laughter. Love your cooking Baba! My Baba was from Macedonia and she made this exact soup! I noticed your languages are very similar because I understood much of what you both were saying in Yugoslavian language. Wonderful memories and I am the only one left in my family that continues to make traditional meals my Baba taught me. If you have oil, onions, peppers and tomatoes, you can make anything like from "the old country". Bless you baba and thank you for bringing your traditions to all of us. With love from Indianapolis
